The twin cities are very diverse in that there's people from all over there, but it's also very segregated in that those groups don't normally interact much and there's specific neighborhoods where different groups live. A lot of the whites there don't see it and are a bit in denial about it.
Last reskeets, I have been Black in Minnesota for a spell (as recently as less than a year ago) so I just let y'all cook, but it's a deeply anti-Black and pro-cop/pro-surveillance place. Look up the number of Black people murdered by cops AFTER Castile & Floyd among other things like this.
