This thread is basically, “Are you guys ok with not getting a top shelf martini every time you get a vaccine without crying?”
For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.

What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?

Who in the USA gov runs the program?

R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?

1 or 2 pencils per child?

<begins uncontrollably shaking in elementary school teacher>
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

What if we made the airport like airborne school?

So I should dress formally but also be ready to work in thirty minutes on a stationary bike.
Also, no, flying next to a sweaty dude is not going to improve my travel experience.
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

This is why Ivy’s my favorite. There’s so much ethical complexity there!
I don’t see Ivy as a villain. Her goals are laudable. It’s just that ordinary, law-abiding methods are a failure against players that are in a caste above all laws, she’s playing by the same non-rules as those she opposes. If she’s a life-protecting villain, than what are her anti-life enemies?

This is gonna be awkward when Trump’s supporters string JD’s naked body up in front of the Capitol and we see he has a tiny penis.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

I've said this before but there is a gaping maw of a difference between restriking legal combatants who are wounded but crawling away in an area you can't capture them and restriking legal combatants bobbing in the ocean

also these weren't legal combatants
And look, I say this as someone that has no problems with going after troops that are retreating—they're legitimate targets. But as quite a few people have pointed out (and it isn't an area I really know), being shipwrecked has a lengthy legal history of making you a protected class.

So he was operating within Hegseth’s clear intent, meaning Hegseth still bears some level of responsibility?
Reporter: Admiral Bradley was the one who gave that order for a second strike?

Leavitt: And he was well within his authority to do so.

The problem with civ-mol relations scholars is they frequently take the view that soldiers arent capable of wise counsel and grown up decisions, and the civil command authority is entitled to do with them what they will

Both these positions are wrong, and betray a patrician sense of the soldier...
