MAGA will make a little noise about Trump starting more wars but in the end they fall in line because he’s getting rid of immigrants and woke pronouns. And for that they’ll put up with his inherent hypocrisy.
Nothing too surprising here. We know that Hegseth has had Pentagon teams planning military operations in Mexico for months now. Canada, Greenland, Colombia—also in the mix.

Not sure I'd call it "brilliant" ("decisive", perhaps) but it *can* be an important step towards restoring democratic legitimacy.
A brilliant opening maneuver. Framing his predecessor's tenure as aberrant and illegitimate is both totally reasonable and creates room for radical change.
