I have no intention of tiring of this view (and neither has the dog)...

I'm not sure my hostess trolley will cope with the floor, though.

All I can say (and my OH can testify) is that as soon as I start moaning about the sound/lighting/picture quality, we know the storytelling has failed. I've always made a point of leaving that critical viewing behind at work (unless it's really obvious and ruins the show completely).

neither do I - but other people around me did in the 80s/90s.

Anyway, as you were...

I really want to see the rest of the house/byre/dungeon...

(this is a largely irrelevant aside, but it amused me)

You know who the current Archers agricultural advisor is, don't you? ;-)

MBB? I haven't seen enough to notice.

I do know that the crew have an utter blast recording it; not that's why we should be making telly, but a redeeming feature ;-)

Giving a lecture on settlement archaeology this week so you KNOW I had to include my favorite archaeological book cover of all time 😂🏺
The original cover art for Lewis Binford's book "In Pursuit of the Past: Decoding the Archaeological Record" which features a scene of 4 people outside, 2 in traditional Inuit clothing. In the foreground is a photo of the author, a white man in his 60s with white hair and a beard wearing a sweater vest and big 1980s-era glasses who is gesturing like he is mid-lecture. (He looks like a dweeb)

I'd struggle to be anyone other than myself, so that's all I have.

Guessing we're the 'normal' people here ;-)

I guess some people are just manipulative, self centred pieces of shit?

if I don't understand something, I shut up until I find out, rather than advertising my ignorance to the internet.

Sometimes I never find out, so I stay quiet.

you don't seem to be the kind of person who learns from others, though, so...

...and onwards, alas. It got applied to odd things like game shows, just really inappropriate.

mutlicamera sitcoms, in front of an audience, have all bit died a death - Mrs Brown's Boys, if it's still going, may be one marmite example...

One of the last I worked on was Kate & Koji - properly written, properly rehearsed, and then _performed_.

Boom mics, too (only really used on EE now, too).

whilst working in tv studios as an engineer, I got heartily sick of 'film look' being applied to the cameras on all sorts of shows (as the thread says, v little drama). Progressive rather than interlaced picture which were then crushed in Post, often with top & bottom crop too. Pretentious shit.

Loads of young people seem to call themselves a record label now and what they mean is they just put your stuff on Spotify for a cut, and that's it.

Less good was the pile of fag ends, dumped on the lane. On one of the many steep hills, wasn't going to stop and photograph that just for social media...

My friend Sascha is a professional musician and he's lost a viola bow on the way to Heathrow. Please signal boost to help him get it back.
Lost viola bow on the way from Honor Oak Station to Heathrow Terminal 2. The bow slid from its bow case somewhere along the way, possibly on the train. TFL contacted already.
It weighs 68.2 grams and has got a stamped DODD next to the frog. If any info on this, please pm me.
