The absolutely brilliant pitch perfect troll of getting targeted by your opponent with virulent Islamophobia and then immediately releasing an ad in all Arabic.
أنا اسمي زهران ممدان وعم رشّح حالي لأكون العمدة الجديد في مدينة نيويورك
My journey from the political centre to the left mirrors my journey having Metallica as my favourite metal band to Iron Maiden displacing them. Lars Ulrich is such a malign influence. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Når man når ut til veldig mange folk som kan respondere så vil det uunngåelig være en del idioter som slenger med leppa. Men vi trenger ikke la dem avspore den offentlige samtalen. Det er et valg man kan ta.
Yes it was a very sharp correction for me because it started out well but over this short period the mood music changed very ominously. Investment is one thing (DE is still miles ahead of the UK) but cultural attitudes have shifted so decisively I lost all attachment to the country.
One state or two will both require democratic efforts in historic Palestine by Jews and Arabs and of course everyone must consent to it. But nobody is suggesting boots on the ground and imposing this vision (which is more analogous to Balfour).
No less than Peter Beinart was advocating this view a few years back. I think it’s a bit out there to call it imperialism. One’s allowed to express a preference for one equal state even if it seems incredibly unrealistic. Two states under any current framework isn’t exactly fair to Palestinians
Pakistan to GB. For me Germany is just indulging in its own brand of nostalgia driven racist restructuring. Except the British nostalgia is for empire and the German nostalgia is… ya know. The political parties in Germany just refuse to adapt to reality and are high on their own parochialism.
Consider myself an early adopter here. Saw the writing, planned to leave (I’m a naturalised British citizen). Moved to Germany, came to hate it for similar reasons as the UK after 4.5 years (expect DE to decline here soon). Now in Norway. CH is rich but extremely xenophobic so I would avoid
Was at a talk given by Lea Ypi this week and she basically said socialists are just liberals who take liberalism to its logical conclusion. While also arguing that liberalism and capitalism creates pathologies of fear which undermine liberal principles. Made sense.
We need you leading the state department
His colleague Barney Ronay on the other hand had some differing and might I add distasteful opinions.
All the austerity of Polish milk bars none of the charm. In the long term, we will all live under soviet economism but without the benefit of lower costs. Instead it will just be a way for corporations to pillage profit
You might have heard of 'dark kitchens' when a row of sheds in a car park churn out food for Deliveroo. They're unpopular and low margin. So the next big thing in London food is 'host kitchens' where local pubs, restaurants and kebab shops cook for big brands. www.londoncentric.media/p/host-kitch...
Why your next upmarket Deliveroo might be made by your local kebab shop

Make no mistake. Those who spearheaded the Gaza genocide will try to relaunch it in a more ruthless manner, at the earliest opportunity.
They will fail only if there will be an alternative vision, one of recognition, life and equality for everyone.

Gaza is a spectacle of violence and lawlessness performed on a global stage to establish as fact, through action and/or neglect, the notion some humans simply do not matter; which defiles the universality of the claim that humans matter; whence annihilation becomes not just possible, but inevitable.
Thunberg is on par with your most radical revolutionaries. She will be remembered as a heroic figure who gave it all.
Single worst political party I have ever come across. Nothing redeemable about it. More contradictions that a bucket of millipedes writhing all over each other

Horrendous state of affairs. Shocking. The worst of all UK incorporated shenanigans piled into one big mess
Objectively hilarious. This is something Jonah Ryan from Veep would say.
Trump: "It's too much liquid. Too many different things are going into that baby at too big a number. The size of this thing when you look at it. It's like 80 different vaccines and beyond vaccines."

The contradiction between "We support and advocate for Israel" and "we're not Israelis and should not be held accountable for its actions" becomes impossible to ignore when Israel is pursuing the extermination of a society of two million people.
You advocate for Israel? You bear responsibility.

From where I’m sitting, Sultana is clearly the wronged party here, the victim of exactly that – a boys’ club – but the gender dynamic conceals what I think is a much greater issue; an old guard of Trotskyist loons playing toy soldiers, asserting party lines as politics rages on without them.
