Unpacking economic myths! "Taxpayer dollars" rhetoric has racist roots & blocks public good. The real crisis? Private household debt—not national debt—crushing families.

We're half a decade into studies finding that improving airflow in classrooms will reduce disease transmission enormously, and that bleaching surfaces etc. does very little. And yet nothing changes. Waves of flu and colds wash over schools, and the schools pretend it's an act of God.

Takes 67 Senate seats to convict.

Impeachment without conviction is akin to taking a shower with clothes on.

This time there is no bailout for working class Americans.

The people who caused it, wanted it to happen.

It will trigger the most egregious wealth transfer (to the oligarchs) in history, making them too big to fail…or jail.

Great financial crisis? You mean when the housing market collapsed, banks went under, our GDP sank, the working class lost trillions in net worth and unemployment soared?

Seems like a repeat of the last time we tried to bully the world with isolationist tariffs.

Not good.

Basically, if the President calls someone a "terrorist", on whatever highly creative grounds he wants, then the US military salutes and says, "yessir, they are a legitimate military target"? And Congress has nothing to do with it?

The problem in the "Global War on Terror" (which shaped this Admiral's thinking and practice) wasn't that Congress didn't authorize force - it did - but that this authorization was so vague and open-ended that Presidents (D & R) began to feel they could apply it to basically anything.
