main economic message from
the president is that you will be poorer and you will like it
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

When I was in elementary school I saw an oath ceremony, I think it was also because there was one of the original Declarations of Independence, that they sent through the colonies on display at the time. It was a great thing.
I despise this. The anger I feel towards these people isn't enough.
“She showed up as scheduled, and when she arrived, officers were asking everyone what country they were from, and if they said a certain country, they were told to step out of line and that their oath ceremonies were canceled.”

among other things: TN-07, the Congressional district that voted today, is the result of gerrymandering - Nashville, which used to have its own congressman, was split into thirds, and TN07 contains one of the thirds. The rest of it is rural.

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

This 2028 possibility is Trump’s favorite Democrat
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s decision to work with the White House stands in stark contrast to potential 2028 rivals such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

Say what you will about Nuzzi's ethics, but with her effectively trying to boost Trump via her support of her beau, she certainly seems to have a face cosmetically made for Fox News.

Being among the first interrogated and ultimately fired by DOGE, I certainly felt we were facing the business end of a right-wing conspiracy theory 🧵
DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2
All DOGE accomplished was purging critical government staff, handing private data to outsiders, and sentencing thousands in developing countries to death by gutting USAID.

I don’t say this lightly: if there were any justice in this world, the people responsible for this devastation would be in jail

They lied about it. All of it. A thug cop shot an unarmed woman five times without justification, boasted about it to his colleagues, and then this administration tried cover it all up by arresting her and charging her with felonies.
Absolutely incredible; after shooting Marimar Martinez 5 times and arresting her on claims that she rammed them and pulled a gun, prosecutors have now moved to dismiss ALL criminal charges against her and her codefendant.
New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.

One agent shot Martinez, with evidence presented to the court that he later bragged about in text messages.

This is so so disturbing. Trump is now pardoning January 6th rioters for unrelated crimes, just to reward them for their violence to keep him in power.

The Republican Party is in the full time business of endorsing and incentivizing political violence. So scary.

Based on all available information, it is frankly absurd to think Democrats did not tacitly approve of these members voting for this bill in the Senate. So.

Which Democrat Senators should be primaried for this?
