I'm not inclined to fault individual players for signing pre-arb extensions, or reaching a settlement, but there's labor value in having a guy that good force the issue and expand the bounds of available comps, even with the "what, do you think you're as good as Skubal?" caveats applied

It's not like Belichick is never getting into the Hall of Fame. He'll be there. The MLB's home run and hits leaders aren't in the Hall of Fame, at all. They also had accomplished careers. BB's team was punished three times for cheating. He's definitely a Hall of Famer. But this isn't THAT crazy.

Update: Mike McDaniel pulled out of his scheduled meeting down in Florida with the Bills yesterday, I’m told, and the two sides never met.
McDaniel remains in contention for the Raiders’ head coaching job, but if he takes an OC position, it’s still expected to be with the Chargers.
