Other than this being a kidnapping and theft on Christmas Eve, the thing I find most striking here is that *even the theft* was actually sanctioned by policies that pre-date Trump. We've repeatedly failed to rein in civil forfeiture out of fear of and fealty to police. The fascism *has been here.*
