This is not okay! Maternal-fetal death rates are so substantially higher for Black women and other women of color because of the disparities in treatment, not from some sort of biological anomaly

these women are not merely failed by medicine
they end up victims of it

You have to practice bravery every day.

You have to practice standing up to people every day. To challenging small bullies and people in power when you see them every day.

If you don’t, your habit will be to keep your mouth shut in times when you will wish you hadn’t.
I’ve been thinking and it’s kind of exceptional that not a single person said “Hey now” after the piggy comment.
