A measure of the market's confidence in Trump's decisions:
- 84% of market economists expect Trump to tap Kevin Hassett to lead the Fed.
- Only 11% think that's a good idea (and that's only relative to Trump's existing shortlist).

In moving a program from the Department of Education to the Department of Labor, we're now PAYING another department $1 million in additional taxpayer funds.

And now schools will have to deal with TWO federal agencies, instead of one.

Raising costs and increasing bureaucracy.

It is really, really hard to get your head around the raw hubris of the majority. They really will be destabilizing the operating structure of the entire U.S. government. Why? Because they believe they have a better idea about how the past century should've been done.

They are, as a core ideological tenet, actively hostile to professionalism and institutional standards. That something is wildly immature and trashes civic norms, such as government agencies communicating in meme-speak slop while ganking somebody's IP over their express objection, is reason enough.
Anyone have a theory on the administration's sudden obsession with Franklin the turtle?

1. Jared Kushner's trip to Moscow yesterday was not just unethical; it was illegal.

You cannot accept tens of millions of dollars from foreign governments and simultaneously conduct high-level diplomacy for the federal government.

It says it right in the Constitution.
Kushner’s Moscow mission wasn’t just corrupt. It was unconstitutional.
Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, has been traveling the world to participate in high-stakes foreign policy negotiations on behalf of the president.
