another guy who never protested before radicalized to the point of tears by watching masked ICE agents terrify children in his neighborhood

the Republicans are not ready or mentally capable of comprehending the backlash they have generated
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social

This is a key problem with AI.

When you search for something weird using a standard web search, you get 0/limited/obviously wrong results.

If you have AI do it, it'll just make something up.
Essentially, it doesn't have an answer for whether you should walk or drive to a car wash, as it's not a commonly asked question (because it's stupid). Just like if you Google searched the question, you wouldn't find a good result because it's not a common question. 3/?

the thing most people struggle with is understanding that doj wasn’t hesitant to go hard at trump because they were unsure of the outcome, they were hesitant because they were VERY sure of the outcome (conviction) and it scared the shit out of them.
I also developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt of this, using the investigative methods of "reading the words that the president regularly spoke and wrote in public forums."
BREAKING on MS NOW:

Jack Smith, in his opening statement to House Judiciary, says:

"Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and to prevent the lawful transfer of power."

trans kids should have access to healthcare. same as cis kids. ANYTHING that their parents and doctors think would have a positive impact. Not complicated.

Since Polygon is leaving it out of the headline: Epic Games partnered with The Game Awards to put money into the pocket of a bigot who uses her wealth to further the genocide of trans people through lawsuits and legislation. Every 'free' game gives money directly to JKR, and they are complicit.

If someone tries to tell you that diversity is a problem, you should immediately wonder what’s in it for them if you believe them.
JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.

Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. 🧵

Good thread from @signal.org CEO, @meredithmeredith.bsky.social underscoring our critical dependencies on a few key orgs, and an increasing challenge in organizational and national resilience. We have a lot of work to do. cc @gate15.bsky.social
In short, the problem here is not that Signal ‘chose’ to run on AWS. The problem is the concentration of power in the infrastructure space that means there isn’t really another choice: the entire stack, practically speaking, is owned by 3-4 players. 11/

This thread does a better job of capturing why the cloud isn’t merely “renting a bunch of servers” than anything else I’ve seen recently.
📣THREAD: It’s surprising to me that so many people were surprised to learn that Signal runs partly on AWS (something we can do because we use encryption to make sure no one but you–not AWS, not Signal, not anyone–can access your comms).

It’s also concerning. 1/
PSA: we're aware that Signal is down for some people. This appears to be related to a major AWS outage. Stand by.

absolutely shameful that the university has embraced the administration’s demand that it discriminate against its students. this is the board of visitors telling UVA students that if they aren’t white and cisgendered then they don’t belong.
The University of Virginia has capitulated to Trump on transgender and race (affirmative action) issues.

The details are currently sparse, but reporting suggests they've agreed to define trans people out of existence and ban trans students from facilities.

The current climate is especially accelerating this.
