Shoutout to Bandcamp who have made the decision to not allow AI music to be sold on their platform. Good to see some push back.

A lot of artists I work with regularly ditched Adobe for Clip Studio Paint and other art programs when Adobe began to deny them the ability to purchase Photoshop outright. In my creative circles, it went from the thing everyone uses to the one no one does in less than three years.

Data is correct, causal agency is (IMO) incorrect.

The vast majority of ppl who use AI to make images and video have never touched and would never touch Photoshop/AfterEffects/Illustrator/etc. The issue is Adobe trying to squeeze its users with subscriptions, and other customer-hostile behavior.
From Dare Obasanjo on Mastodon. Adobe is hitting the floor. #AI

Real talk, the Nike fits on the 1993 Lions tour were immaculate.

Just stick Ellie Kildunne and Hannah Botterman in these and watch the money roll in.

They can recind a Nobel Peace Prize, right? There's got to be some kind of 'bringing the game into disrepute clause, right?'

BBC report at a headline level that Grok will now not make sexually exploitative images any more. An actual reporter comes on and explains that it will do no such thing, and will just make the images invisible in the UK. These are two very, very different things.

These fucking guys out there designing the quiet part loud.
Ukip have submitted a new logo and slogan to the Electoral Commission, swapping the £ pound sterling symbol for a cross, that looks very much like it is modelled on the Iron Cross used by Prussia & Germany 1871-1918 and Hitler's Nazi regime from 1933-45

found them on an old hd. here they are

Had to block one of my favourite creators today cause they use AI to create a video and were like “everything uses AI these days”
There’s a difference between assistive AI and Gen AI… we’re not complaining about assistive technology but GENERATIVE AI
And you not knowing the difference… BLOCKED

Remember, kids: cops lie.
Don't believe the lies DHS are telling you. A DHS agent murdered someone in Minneapolis today. Video shows that the driver was leaving the scene. DHS agents lie in court. They lie in press releases. They are trained to dehumanize you and treat you like a criminal for filming them.
