4/ It is a challenge to male self-identity to throw off and reject that societal expectation of what a man 'should' be like.

3/ I've worked hard on myself to identify when i have embraced that "power = male identity" in my past. Its often so ingrained in male existence, it becomes unnoticable. And to reject and throw off that masculine shell is something i have to work at constantly.

2/ The masculine shell is a repression of our actual selves ; instead male self-image often projects power AS - and indistinguishable from - male identity.

And that isn't limited to black men, but affects male identity no matter the skin.

Yes, it is a weird quirk of Uk landline telephony is that the area codes were allocated in alphabetical order (except for the ten biggest cities which were just 01,02,04,05,06,09 etc.). ish. thats why Middlesbrough was 0624 Wolverhampton is 0902, and Worcester 0905, etc.

And I was going to suggest "West Sussex FM", but that was based on the area code and thinking it would thus alphabetically be in the late B / early C part of the alphabet.

If Brighton is 01273 and Derby is 01332 and Dudley 01384, then its city must be somewhere in the C range. Crawley?
