Seeing this view everyday is quite boring... 🙃

Now that everyone has seen it or knows about it, I think it's time for Zermatt to consider erasing the summit to building a complex of hôtels! 🤪

This place truly lacks decent accommodation! 🤑

Here is a closer look at the record low #Arctic sea ice around Svalbard currently. This coincides with the record warmth as well (check out my earlier post). Earlier last week temperatures in parts of Svalbard were more similar to July than October.

Line graph time series of Svalbard sea ice area for 2025 compared to 2012 2020, and the 1981-2010 average with percentiles shown. There is a large seasonal cycle.

Stunning. “Winter” snows momentarily make the alps look almost normal.

Finally reached the snow line here in Nepal from the historic early October snowfall. At the very least, it is a generational event. Photo taken right at 15,000'.

Atmospheric pressure widely very high 1034mb in London and 1036mb in south of Ireland the highest since early in spring. But a lot of cloud is trapped within the weakening ☀️ can’t erode it.

Over 40% of corn grown in Indiana is used to make ethanol that cars burn. One acre of corn yields about 16,500 vehicle-miles per year of ethanol, which sounds high until you realize that one acre of solar yields about 2,700,000 vehicle-miles per year: 16,000% more driving for a given plot of land.
