Thanksgiving in the early 90s, my then-toddler sibling, upon being told he could not sit at the big table, launched into the wall and opened a gash that required 7 stitches to close. Mom & Dad took him to the ER & Grandma let me not eat the “gross” stuff at dinner bc “she’s worried abt the baby”

Interesting how the line is, now that we have legalized sports gambling across the board there's no putting that genie back in the bottle versus sure we can end the hemp industry with one line in an unrelated bill.
The shutdown deal includes a ban on hemp products that none of its negotiators debated in public.
Disappointing that only 24 senators voted against killing an amendment to strike that ban.

Many ppl have already pointed out how many churches have established relationships w/food banks & other community services orgs that they donate & refer to - it’s not that smart actually to run all charitable work thru a lady named Deena who answers the church phone!

And that is what was so brilliant about the film! At a child's level, tackling the difference between America's promise (of freedom from oppressors) and America's reality (being just as run by oppressors as anywhere else) plus a call to action (work together towards realizing the promise).
