Painfully dull move, and additionally baffling considering just how well set processes meat companies are to capitalise on veggie alternatives. Like Keogh's black veggie pudding 🤤 and jeesus wept I couldn't believe what veggies accepted for sausages before Denny's and Clon stepped in with theirs.

Genuinely think showing up to run for president without being prepared to campaign, debate and answer questions in Irish is like showing up in trackies. It's a lack of respect for the role. FF and FG could have selected candidates that met this bare minimum.

It would be a real shame if the presidency was subjected to the neglect and decay that has happened to the roles of Minister for the Gaeltacht and Minister for Defence in the post bailout years. The idea that any old prick can be put there, or that it can be moonlit, says a lot about value.

Someone's pet cat with the native wild red squirrel it just killed.

Most cat owners have no idea of, or don't want to know, how much wildlife is slaughtered annually by domestic or feral cats. But it runs to 10s, possibly 100s, of BILLIONS of animals per year, and is a serious driver of extinction.
