At my bookstore job I wanted to give some options for folks who are scared right now. Trying to get stuff that covers mutual aid, anti racism, abortion, climate change, queer and trans history, immigration rights, abolishing police/prisons, or anything else Project 2025 fucking hates 📚🙏

I hate headlines like this. It dunks on the folks who are pushing for more preventative medical care, while obscuring the real danger: rich folks getting richer by meeting those needs dubiously, making it harder for those needs to be met on the federal level

at this point i think that most obvious and important subjects of discussion are sufficiently complex or counterintuitive that people become temporarily insane when discussing them by default and permanently insane when studying them in depth

Well, deleting the instagram app has definitely helped my doomscrolling. Now when my muscle memory goes to click the app and comes up with nothing, I’m like “well, shit, now I have to do something productive instead”

"The dog that didn't bark" is a phrase from a Sherlock Holmes story that means the absence of evidence can be a clue to solving a mystery. The dog's silence indicated that the thief was someone the dog knew, not a stranger. Meaning: what is not said, seen, or done, can be as revealing as what is.

Lads and non-lads, my feed on here is so basic. I can’t get away from Instagram bc all my favorite artists still post there. Wtf do I even do if I’m not fawning over art

I’ve lost 50 lbs in the past 6 months. It feels weird to get congratulations from folks, especially the nurses who take my vitals for exams. Bc my reply is a genuine one of “it’s because our ETB money got cut form $300/m to $90/m for two people”. Idk how to cushion your feelings 😭
