No. Stop. Delete. I don't want any AI. Make it go away for the love of Mr. Rogers and the VHS tapes that he pushed into the wall.

Southwest Voices will have deeper coverage on the state of Uptown in March.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey optimistically said “Hennepin Avenue is back and better than ever," last fall when the street opened after years of road construction. But anyone walking Hennepin Avenue into the heart of Uptown knows that is not the case.
Hennepin Ave. is struggling after reopening - Southwest Voices

We actually broke this news in our print edition in a story about poinsettia donations (it pays to read every story!) but here it is again:
It's been in the works for a while: Arizona Taco Co. (New Hope) is moving into the former Arts + Rec space at Seven Points. The owners are requesting a liquor license for the 3001 Hennepin Ave. location at this week's City Council Committee of the Whole meeting.

My best friend forever is still surviving Stage 4 colon cancer from lapsed colonoscopies. It is truly a miracle he is alive. Colonoscopies suck but cancer sucks even worse. It sucks for you and it sucks so much for the people around you. It's cool to get colonoscopies.

Morning, Minneapolis. Two things: 1. We are up to 10.5 hours of sunlight. 2. The astrology this week is wild but on The People's side. Dream big, let the envisioning fly. Don't let them write the ending.

This is really serious and also if you watch "The Morning Show" it's deeply uncanny.
SCOOP: An FBI counterterrorism agent spent weeks pursuing a nonviolent climate activist, and showed up at his door. The visit suggests a possible probe into the climate group as the Trump admin increases surveillance of activists, calls them domestic "terrorists."

Statement from Minneapolis City Council President Elliott Payne after announcement that Operation Metro Surge is winding down.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Everything they’ve said about this illegal occupation has been built on a lies.

We need accountability for our neighbors and for this whole corrupt department to be dismantled.

Stay out there, keep your connection to one another, and only believe your eyes.

MPR News verifies brutal car crash connected to federal agent activity:
February 11, 2026 at 5:20 PM
Very violent ICE activity in St. Paul today.
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

A good reminder to us all. The best journalists are watchdogs. I'd suggest @minnesotareformer.com at the moment.

Federal agents in Uptown this morning. (Whistles and honking in video)
Federal agents abducted two people in Uptown, Minneapolis this morning at 6:45am. Boxed in their car in the middle of a major commercial street (Lagoon) and smashed out their window.

I handled this today but please let the record show that Medica was threatening to have me pay out of pocket for my all of my health care services if I didn't pay for my *unemployment health care* premiums that totaled less than $300.

The legion of Twin Cities turkeys causing havoc to normative society continues.
The free-roaming turkeys of Saint Paul, Minnesota:

- are enormous
- don’t know where they’re going
- have no plans or motivations
- don’t understand roads
- or anything at all, really

Totally unprompted, my nephew told me last night he wishes he had a smoke bomb so he could throw one at ICE. And then we could all run away from them.
My kid is 5 and we live in northeast MPLS. He says if anyone tries to steal our neighbors he will kick them in the face.
Rewire is about to publish a story reported from Minneapolis about how parents are trying to explain the ICE invasion to their kids. It includes interviews with littles as young as 5 who want to protect their friends from the "naughties" and when I say tears were shed during editing.

Stay tuned.
