Interesting polling from YouGov on who’d make the best PM.

▪️Starmer beats Farage by 44% to 29%
▪️Starmer’s lead over Kemi Badenoch as best Prime Minster is 36% to 25%

Endless references in media coverage today to the rapid increases in net migration in recent years and often too little explanation as to why: (i) keeping UK HE/social care afloat and (ii) an attempt to deal with post Covid labour shortages/supply chain inflation.
Beginning to think that myself
Wow Rachael Blackmore quits riding!
I’m sympathetic to some policies the Green Party have but it’s this kind of batshittery that holds them back.

The cruelty is the point. The banal, vicious, performative cruelty. Turns out ‘anti-woke’ just meant anti-decency, anti-humanity & anti-rule of law.

Trump tells his followers to buy stock in the morning, minutes after the market opens, then announces he is pausing tariffs 4 hours later.

Nothing to see here.

He believes absolutely that tariffs are The Answer, as if they were passed down by God himself. It's his one big idea and now that he's escaped all accountability for everything and he's descending into dementia like his father, there is no talking him out of it. Or anything.
It feels like Trump has been willing to inflict pain and anger so many people because he truly believes that his tariffs will usher in some golden age that will make everyone forgive him, so when that turns out *not* to be the case, it's going to get very weird, very fast, as he tries to adjust.

The British public have clearly got a sense that *someone* undeserving has taken all the money, which is true, a class of people have, but it's truly a sign of painfully evil the British spirit is that so many are convinced it's the disabled and people on benefits who have made off with it.

No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.
Have Jeremy Bowen and Bill Bailey ever been seen in the same room?

Where is Starmer's statement of support for Zelenskyy. No excuses. No equivocation.

Do you think Trump and Vance would have spoken to Putin like this? We all know they wouldn't dare.
