A federal judge halted an IRS–ICE data-sharing plan that would’ve exposed taxpayer addresses to immigration agents. Privacy advocates say the ruling protects immigrant communities already facing heightened enforcement.

I will be the first to admit I couldn’t understand why anyone would oppose Assisted Dying… and then I became disabled and had it “offered” to me.

It’s not compassionate when there’s coercion.

It’s not dignified when it’s offered in lieu of care.

Listen to disabled people.

Today on TikTok I saw “Christians” arguing that Jesus made people listen to his sermons before he fed them.

I pointed out that it was ass backwards and someone called it “progressive fanfic.”

Evangelicals don’t actually read the Bible, do they? So they’re evangelizing what exactly?

“If it’s that bad, you would have help!”

Help doesn’t magically arrive when you become disabled.

You’re not assigned a caregiver or given more money based on severity.

Many need more help than they’re getting.

If you’re struggling tonight, know you’re not alone.

Many of us are with you.

It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

Many disabled kids would benefit so much if parenting classes that focus on disability inclusion and the harms of ableism were widely available (so, free) to their parents.

I'm too sick to eat the scarce bit of food I've left, got acid burning holes in my stomach and no spoons to haul my ass to a food pantry and only $17 to my name, not enough for a rideshare to & from there, and no one here to help me carry bags, unload food, wash dishes/prep foods.

The fact that asymptomatic Covid cases can lead to Long Covid IMO probably leads to more people attributing illness to vaccine complications than what could actually occurring, when the underlying problem could be a Covid infection.

Once again I seem to differ from general opinion based on my experience as the child of narcissists.

Trump is not enamored with Mamdani. He’s clearly smug. He is amused by Mamdani. He thinks Mamdani will change and become more like himself.

My father has the same smirk when he talks politics.

Just listened to this week’s Criminal episode about the British Post Office/Horizon scandal.

Really horrifying story. Almost a thousand subpostmasters were wrongly convicted. Egregious misuse of power, and over reliance on flawed technology.

while I’m being cranky, access journalism needs to go. When the president does his “I’m alpha because I insulted you” thing somebody needs to fall on his sword and say “what the fuck is wrong with you, old man?” on a hot mic. the hero of the wizard of Oz is Toto.

As far back as I remember, I wanted to make movies.

When I got older, I wanted to write, design sets or costumes, direct.

I took film and fashion classes. Or tried to. It turns out that when you’re disabled and your family is abusing you, school is pretty fucking impossible.

My parents always said they wanted me to be a doctor or lawyer. But I wasn’t allowed to take Latin in high school.

I think we can all conclude that they never wanted me to be a professional at all, but especially not one that needs to know Latin.
