I often think about this memorial we have along the waterfront in Portland. It emphasizes the grave injustice we did to Japanese Americans during WWII. Congress formally apologized in 1988. The plaque on the right is written by Ronald Reagan. Worth a read.

This post initially freaked me out. Very poor word choice. The Qataris are NOT building a base here. They've been accepted for training (like many other nations) on our base in Mountain Home Idaho. Sounds like it means additional construction on the base? www.cbsnews.com/news/hegseth...

I'm not a fan, but it's a really poor choice of words/framing. Qatari pilots will be trained at our Mountain Home Air Base in Idaho. Perhaps some construction will be required, but Qatari is not building their own independent base. www.cbsnews.com/news/hegseth...

Shapiro: I filed that amicus brief last night to make it very clear that the Pennsylvania National Guard is under my command.

The way the President has chosen to deploy the Guard in other states—and, in at least one case, deploy the Guard from one state into another—is extremely dangerous.

Here’s a typical bundle of file papers from the Boston Municipal Court archives. It probably hasn’t been unwrapped since it was docketed in 1822. The organization of the sub-layers is significant, & I always photograph bundles so that I can put them back together as I found them. I love this work! 🗃️
