Warm wine from a coffee cup in a sticky hotel room - yes! I'm on the English riviera!

Doesn't sound like any Austin Westminster I've ever seen.

It's John Lennon's birthday, so here's that picture of him out on the town with Edwina Currie.

Or just show a window into his life - existing in a Traveltavern and the camera isn't there. They *should* have made it as a Theroux-type fly-on-the-wall show with a crew following him as he made his documentary series; they could then include absolutely anything. As it is, it's a bit hit & miss.

All the stuff about his girlfriend - why would he include that? It's just odd because it breaks the central premise of the show. He's best when he's 'broadcasting live' because that's when he gets out of his depth or crass or ignorant and you can believe in it.

I think I've worked out what's wrong with that new Partridge series - it's supposed to be a finished show that he's put together himself; we're supposed to laugh at how inept he is as a writer, director, editor etc - but some of the stuff in this is too much for even Alan to have overlooked.

Why yes, that is the actual portrait of 'mother' from The Belles Of St Trinians.
