I got a hand-me-down iPad for my birthday and now all I ever want to do is draw and this is cruelty because I have to do things like work and have responsibilities.

As I talk about at length in the RT'd thread, odds are looking more and more likely that SNAP benefits will not be paid out for November in many states. Even if SNAP were entirely funded TOMORROW, payments will be almost certainly be delayed for millions of families across the US.

It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

The last time I was at a studio with a layoff, a meeting was derailed because the director asked, with increasing irritation, which engineer was supposed to design a feature that underpinned the whole game. That engineer had been laid off 2 days prior, and no one else knew how to do it.
Layoffs wreck studios. Institutional knowledge is SO valuable in the games industry. When you eventually replace that laid off employee, I don’t care if they’ve got 30 years of experience and dozens of games under their belt. They still have to learn the pipeline, the software, the systems.
