the bbc changed their article from saying 'trans woman' to saying 'biological male who identifies as a woman'.

even if you don't care about trans ppl it should alarm you just how captured the bbc has become.

they will no longer even say 'trans woman'. that's not normal and shows massive bias.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza persists, goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in the OPT continue to be imported into Britain's markets - proceeds of a crime under international law.

The govt must urgently ban the import of these goods and press for aid to flow into Gaza.

OpenAI says they aren't liable for the suicide of a user their chat bot urged to kill himself because suicide is a violation of the TOS
Additionally, OpenAI argues its not liable because Raine, by using ChatGPT for self-harm, broke its terms of service

Briony Clarke now identify as a bent judge.

“she found Graham Linehan was a ‘generally credible witness’ and appeared to be ‘genuinely frank and honest’.”
They keep fucking editing the article, but it's not any better. And this addition about why the judge referred to her as "them" is like a parody of impartiality

We have "block". We have "mute".

We also need "mute for", where you can see them but they can't see you....so you can keep tabs on whether they are defaming you, but they can't maliciously use your material.

New research shows trans kids on hormone treatment have less suicide ideation

A new report has shown that transgender youth who are on hormone treatment have a reduced level of suicide ideation.

The research builds upon earlier work, but this time examined a much larger cohort.

The thing about the Linehan case is that either the Judge is sympathetic to 'gender critical' ideology or British law thinks it's perfectly acceptable for a 57 year old man to stalk, doxx and physically attack a 17 year old girl.

Both explanations are horrifying.

So fed up with this bullshit. And cis people, try and imagine for a moment what this constant egregious crap feels like for trans people. This is the kind of shite gay people had to put up with in the 80s when AIDS hysteria seemed to be pushing us backwards

This 👇 The good doctor has nailed it. I read several "reports" earlier and they are all biased.
As a woman with a trans/intersex history, it's hard.
Thanks @pantibliss.bsky.social for expressing so eloquently what I felt
It looks like every Irish outlet (that I've seen so far) has just transcribed a wire services report about the Linehan trial that is *dripping* with anti trans bias, misgendering the victim, calling the teenage victim an "activist" but not Linehan, and eliding the fact that the victim was a child

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

Helen Joyce can read underage child erotic in public and its legal.

Finding Linehan as ‘generally credible’ and ‘genuinely frank and honest’ is picking sides. This is parodic
Someone ask the judge what her reaction would be if she was on the receiving end of what Glinner did, *then* followed it up with that performance in court?

But of course we all know the answer anyway.

I can’t say what I’d like to about this outcome, firstly because I don’t use that kind of language and secondly because bluesky’s moderators would suspend me……….

I will say it further demonstrates that there can be no real expectation of justice (or a fair trial) for trans people in the UK.
You can literally say what you want about trans people and the UK courts are fine with it.

He'll take this as a win, but as he's his own worst enemy, it's only a matter of time before he does something truly awful because he thinks he's been given permission.

Bossy headline from The Times letting Farage insist his “Hitler was right” racism was just ‘banter’.
If that were true, his politics now would be different and he’d apologise. He’s defensive because this is what he is and always has been and he’s angry with us for knowing that and for minding.
