Lately I've been feeling so deeply exhausted about how every single creative person is wasting so much time thinking about and arguing about how this useless dogshit doesn't work and can never work; so I gotta say, seeing players overwhelmingly understand that too makes me SO happy and encouraged

I think we lost some work because authors were afraid to show their weirdnesses, rough edges, to ask uncomfortable questions.
We can debate all day about who got cancelled and whether or not they deserved it, but one thing I have noticed is that a lot of queer YA written from ~2019-2022 has a kind of sterile after-school-special vibe where you can just tell they sanitized the fuck out of it to appease the Twitter hivemind

I kinda do think people who use those tools to generate illustrations or text shouldn't be allowed to draw or write
if you believe suggesting that actual programmers know how to actually do programming is gatekeeping i don't know what to tell you, i guess i'm gatekeeping
