The most incurious, moronic individuals who are not just content with their own ignorance, but is committed to making the rest of us know as little as them. In a just world Vought will never know a day of peace for the rest of his life for all the harm he’s doing to all of us
NSF is about to dismantle NCAR at Russell Vought's direction to protect the fossil fuel industry. It's hard to communicate just how much NCAR does, so let's take a look: I've never worked at NCAR, and I've worked with NCAR researchers once ever. What scientific discoveries has NCAR made possible? 👇

On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.

NCAR climate scientists collaborated with me when I was an early career researcher. They helped me and the PhD students I worked with understand climate modeling. Two of the PhD students I worked with spent summers at NCAR as Next Generation Fellows. The Admin might close the door on a generation.

one of the ways that Joe Manchin was very damaging to the Dem party as a whole was the way he'd go on television all the time to talk about how the rest of his party sucked

nobody should ever make the mistake of thinking MTG is on their side but "Republican on TV saying Republicans suck" is helpful
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I think the midterms are gonna be very hard for Republicans. I'm one of the people that's willing to admit the truth and say I don't see Republicans winning the midterms right now, so that doesn't bode well for Mike Johnson."

NEW: President Trump is expanding the previous 19-country travel ban to a whopping 39 countries (plus the Palestinian Authority), and appears to expand a block on legal immigration to now include spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens, who were previously exempted.

Here is the Department of Homeland Security touting this new ban by describing the (among others) spouses and children of U.S. citizens coming on visas as "foreign invaders."

It has never been about legal versus illegal. They hate legal immigration. They want to stop it. That's the story.

This gun law did not end gun ownership. Lots and lots of people in Australia own guns. It did not end gun deaths—lots of Australians commit suicide with guns, or kill people they know with guns.

But it did radically reduce random gun violence and it made mass shootings incredibly rare.
