I want to add specifically for the cis men reading this: more of us need to be showing up for this. Letter-writing to incarcerated people. Book-packing for incarcerated young people. Meal prep for unhoused people. Assembling post-abortion care packages. Jail support even when it's not post-protest.

Activism is rarely dearresting someone, getting pepper sprayed by police, etc. It's a lot of planning, emails, dull meetings.

Build community. Help each other. Do the work.

Too many of you do not understand the concept of infrastructure. How systems are built, how systems are maintained.

You want big bold action but haven't committed to the planning and the boring mundane tasks needed to make said action possible.

I don't wish for them to be more skilled at kidnapping people; I wish for ICE to be abolished. I do worry about them accidentally wounding or killing people, be them immigrants or bystanders or anyone.
