I'm just blown away at how much the average American has taken for granted. Just floored at how nonchalant they were about voting for the "vibes" and "concepts of a plan" guy. Society hangs in the balance and people are just barely aware of what they stand to lose at this very moment.

Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

Again it is something that people in previous eras have commented on but I still find it just astonishing to witness in my own: fascism is somehow the natural ideology of loser men, just all of our most pathetic and contemptible instincts rendered into a worldview.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

I've read most of the scholarship about US policing since the early 20th century. What you learn from this is that violence is inherent. You cannot "separate" out violence from policing. Police in the U.S. are violence workers.
