More from Tik Tok memories.

May need to pin this one, it's a fav.

Also just finished reading Nimona a week and a half ago. Highly recommend the book and movie, parallel adventures with like themes. 😋

My account got flagged and reviewed by TikTok cause I dared be insulted by the changes to the Pride flag in Tel Aviv to include an extra yellow stripe to represent hostages.

An insult it was and still is.

anyone else notice that the west took a turn for the worse once the concept of signaling one’s own social virtue became derogatory, almost as if cynically deriding all displays of charity and good will is indicative of a deeply cynical and nihilistic society capable of collaborating in genocide

her advocacy for Palestinians doesn't bother me nearly as much as she is so desperately doing all this as an actual act of transparent virtue signaling, to fill the absence she has in depth of character

Thousands of Palestinians returned to Gaza City after ceasefire took hold Friday—returning to a wasteland of rubble. Abdel Qader Sabbah (@AbdelSabbah91) captured the devastation as survivors searched for what was left of their homes - full report (www.dropsitenews.com/p/displaced-...) + video below
Sharif Kouddous شريف عبد القدوس via X (@sharifkouddous): "The Israeli military destroyed as much of Gaza City as it could before being forced into a ceasefire agreement which took effect yesterday. Even at the Gen Z protests in Morocco, what do they chant?

"ya dawla ya dawla, wesh tdiro bina, hizouna Ifalasteen, nharbou alsahayena"

Being mad at Ms Rachel is a pretty good tell that you're just mad that people care about Palestine at all— many such cases actually but in that context these people will die mad because people will always care

The only relief checks that even came with any sort of garnishment protection was the small $600. The first $1200 and the $1400 under Biden did not come with garnishment protection, not to mention weren’t monthly payouts like other countries enabling actual lockdowns.
pupvictor.bsky.social
So, in recognition of that, the “Party of science”, having campaigned on a plan for Covid that Trump didn’t have, gave less in relief in order to continue lockdowns, then gave up on lockdowns entirely despite still seeing surges.

The latest surge/strain is causing “razor throat” symptoms

CNN reports Israel will not release Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya as part of the ceasefire deal with Hamas. The eminent pediatrician was detained in Dec. during Israel’s raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital, after he refused to abandon patients under siege.

I like how the news will be like “while the President claiming Portland was ruled by a giant skeleton named Mr Nibbles is not strictly true, it does speak to the anxiety of many Americans”

My first thought was “wow I hope this guy didn’t give out his name because he could absolutely be charged” and yup, he is correct to stay anonymous.

This man’s account is shocking. His neighbors’ situation is shocking. The entire Chicago raid is shocking.
On the other side was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for his help.
"I wasn't planning on letting her stay, but I didn't know what the hell was going on," the man said of his Venezuelan migrant neighbors. But he quickly relented. The little girl was inconsolable and hid under his bed.
"I didn't want them to take her," said the man, who didn't want to be named because he fears he'll be targeted by federal authorities for his actions.
"I gave her my bedroom, and I just told her,
'Just stay there. Don't open, don't, shh, just stay quiet," he recalled telling the mom and daughter as he choked back tears.

Netanyahu's mouthpiece, Amit Segal, casually admits on Twitter that his country has been holding 1,700 people from Gaza hostage, including children.
Among other things, according to the decision:

- 250 security prisoners will be released.
- 1,700 residents of the Gaza Strip who were not involved in the events of October 7 and were arrested after the massacre will be released.
- 22 minors under the age of 18, residents of the Gaza Strip who were not involved in the events of October 7 and were arrested after the massacre, will be released.
- 360 bodies of terrorists will be returned.

Trying to explain that gerrymandering, dark money/lobbying, and the electoral college destroys the idea of representation, be it by a politician or the policy they push, like:

On an app where you’re able to curate your feed by who you follow, why would you follow anyone you don’t want in your feed? 🤨

Also, you can view the person’s posts without following and avoid the confusion entirely, but…effort, optics, and all that.

That said, I can see their conclusion and respect it. I hope they realize the implications of “for shame wtf” being met with such justifications of a takedown.

Especially with the timing and the example given, in context of the handle, the optics aren’t good.

Appreciate your insight none the less.

They found concern with behavior exhibited by another labeler entirely. But it is a behavior exhibited by users with most labelers like this.

They don’t want to be part of the behavior that they’ve contributed to, actively and passively. (Especially with that handle.)
pupvictor.bsky.social
Yours is the best explanation of the situation so far. Appreciated cause I was viewing through a lens initially.

From a comms standpoint (not something a random labeler should have to worry about) “for shame wtf” Being shut down cause it’s being used to shame people seems very…ironic
