Rep. Crockett puts a major part of the United States' constitutional dilemma simply in this < 2 minute speech, putting blame where it squarely belongs.

And near the middle she highlights the consequence:

"... this is why we are failing as a country..."
Republicans only care about “following the rules” when they can weaponize them. But the second it cuts both ways, they go mute.

Pam Bondi and the DOJ have failed to comply with the subpoena and discharge petition — and y’all have nothing but excuses for them.

I want to share with you a piece from a German documentarian on the chilling parallels between ICE and Hitler’s Brown Shirts (reproduced with his permission). Please read and share.

Or to put another word on it, each is a "collaborateur."

A co-saboteur of the rule of law, decency, morality and trust in government.
This is on you, Congress. Every single member of Congress who does not support impeachment, removal, and prosecution right now is complicit.

"There comes a point when euphemism becomes collaboration."

Backstory: For boomers & their predecessors "collaboration" was a heavily tainted word, from WWII.

Younger generations have embraced the word for innocent, everyday team work.

Now, the taint returns. It means embracing an immoral enemy.

Worth noting losses to federal science extend well beyond these programs, e.g., to Dept of Agriculture, Dept of the Interior, and elsewhere. We've lost 30% of our federal colleagues at the USGS National Climate Adaptation Science Center in the past year.

Rebuilding will take decades.
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

This is great - and is more that the title indicates.

It's a mashup of the classic 1943 film you've likely seen, and scenes from today's times in the U.S.

"That's the way it is. The Defence Report didn't want to see the facts. And apparently they still don't want to see it.

"The fact is…the United States can no longer be trusted. It has not been possible since 2016. That is, ten years.

"Trump is not a disease but a symptom. This must be understood."

Eli kymmenen vuotta.

Trump ei ole tauti vaan oire. Tämä pitää ymmärtää.

And the cruise fleets keep expanding, and the ships keep getting bigger.

These are high-growth corporations. No compunction. Shame!
Luxury cruise ships, any cruise ships are climate catastrophes.

We are never going to learn, are we?
Luxury cruise bookings are rising, while operators ready new ships and amenities.

Cruising is not a vital mode of transport; people are not using cruise ships to visit whānau or for work purposes or in emergencies. And most #cruiseships are still burning the dirtiest, cheapest fuel available, heavy fuel oil, producing air pollution which directly risks our health.
