I just read he auctioned off his Dawson’s Creek memorabilia a couple of months ago too. Only raised 47K. That’s like a rounding error when you have medical debt piling up like this.

He must have been absolutely petrified for his family. Heartbreaking.

I have never even *heard* of Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 until today, but seeing how many people here are saying this was hilarious, I’m off to find it and watch it.
Was unfamiliar with James Van Der Beek, having never watched Dawson's Creek (I never watched Gilmore Girls in its initial run either, my bad). But damn he was hilarious on Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23. That show was underrated, so was he. Rest In Peace.

You need to work a certain amount of hours to qualify, so he probably couldn’t get it. I don’t think he did much acting in the past 15 years or so.

Got it

What do you do if your Cologuard test pops up positive? They need to make sure.
February 11, 2026 at 10:10 PM
And don’t do the shit-in-a-box test. I know way too many people who got false positives on it and ended up needing an emergency colonoscopy. Just do the butt scope. Prepping is a pain, but you’ll have the best nap ever and that first post-scope meal is the stuff of the gods.

Schedule it. Don’t wait. Colorectal cancer is increasingly becoming a disease of the young.

Amen

It’s true

And that first post-procedure meal will be the best thing you ever ate.

Also, seems that the cost of his treatment wiped them out, so you can support his wife and SIX 😭 children here gofund.me/a5c93eead

If you’re old enough to have watched Dawson’s Creek, you need a colonoscopy. Do it for this guy.

What a tragedy. RIP. www.nbcnews.com/news/obituar...

Agree. Only 48 and the father of SIX. It’s a tragedy.

And that’s how I found out James Van Der Beek died

Also, I’m so sorry that happened to you!

Roy Cohn was an evil mastermind. She is just an attack dog yapping Trump talking points and insults. She isn’t bright enough to be a mastermind, evil or not.
February 11, 2026 at 5:27 PM
Honestly don’t know why they bother calling her in to testify. She shows up with a literal binder full of insults and Trump talking points. And of course a Republican isn’t about to demand that she have respect for the committee.

Useless piece of trash.

It was only until all this stuff started coming out about those schools that he started unpacking what happened to him and trying to make changes. He’s doing better now, but I’ll still never be able to fully trust him again.
February 11, 2026 at 5:23 PM
Yes, I just shared about my friend who got shipped to one of those boarding schools. The kid just needed actual parenting, which he wasn’t getting, and he came back from that place a literal monster who took great pleasure in manipulating and tormenting people, because that was the environment there

Another friend of mine got shipped to one of those boarding schools similar to the one Paris Hilton was at. It fucked him up for life. He left as a kid in need of guidance and came back an amoral monster hell-bent on ruining lives for fun. He’s only just starting to unpack it all. It’s so sad.

money she didn’t have on that program (looking back, obviously not the best choice but ppl really didn’t know that back then) and wasn’t about to borrow more to bail his happy ass out.

The sad irony is that jail did a lot more to straighten him out than the troubled teen program.
February 11, 2026 at 5:09 PM
I don’t disagree, but he got charged for stealing the car. I think he also initially got charged for something related to the girl he left with and there was a lot of legal wrangling over that before it ultimately got dropped. He had caused his mom a lot of trouble already, she spent
