Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.

One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

When ideologues & politicians are threatened by the very act of studying climate change, I wonder: who of us is next?
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

BREAKING: ‘This hurts’: UNL eliminates 4 programs despite faculty, student pleas
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln eliminates the Earth and atmospheric sciences 8-0, educational administration 7-1, statistics 7-1, textiles, merchandising and fashion design 7-1 programs.

Feminists are supposed to be the man-haters, but here's a guy who equates masculinity with murder.
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

“It's time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable,” writes Joe Lonsdale.

This is where Silicon Valley authoritarianism is heading:

‘Double-tap’ Caribbean strike sparks call for Pentagon to release chat logs
A controversial “double-tap” strike in the Caribbean on Sept. 2, which killed two survivors, has sparked a conversation about the legality of that strike. This week, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appeared to shift blame for the strike to his admiral. Retired Navy JAG Todd Huntley warns that facts are being shaped “to arrive at a predetermined outcome” and says Congress needs access to chat logs and the full execution order to determine what really happened.

The Incompetence Undermining Trump’s Agenda
Donald Trump chose fealty and showmanship over experience and skill when choosing people for top positions in his administration. As a result, he undermined his own agenda, as his handpicked leaders get overrun with one scandal after another. Ali Velshi ticks through some examples of how Kash Patel, Kristi Noem, and Pete Hegseth are becoming liabilities to the White House and the country.
