Maybe the funniest way for the Lions to get a slightly worse draft pick.

Very much feels like that game in GB in 2023 where Lions might not make playoffs, but with a glimmer of hope that next year they'll be NFC North favorites (and a 4th place schedule rather than a 2nd)

Apollo Creed in Rocky 4 levels of hubris induced by what is relatively good luck. Going to take a winner's high into some type of snafu and find how quickly ruling by the sword can turn on you.

I'm sure Venezuelans are going to be nothing but ecstatic to join this country at its hottest time.
Trump on Venezuela: "We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition"

You have to think we're going to speedrun George Bush 2008 numbers with this type of stuff
U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee was not notified ahead of U.S. airstrikes on Venezuela, source tells CNN

It's "eating the cats and dogs" as a way to move the goalposts on childcare.
Trump guys are about to Comet Pizza every third daycare center because they think they are all fronts for Somali money laundering. They're only doing this near cities with progressive mayors. This is straight up Government by LibsOfTikTok.

Literally the only thing that has worked is mass immigration via refugee resettlement and yeah, you can guess what one party thinks about that.
we verifiably do not do a good job of mitigating the societal impacts of technology on labor. this leaves us with things like the entire state of west virginia yearning for the return of the coal economy, whatever's going on with detroit, etc

Campaign finance law is a patchwork and you can probably get away with a lot, but once you start transferring in-kind stuff to random voters, how far are you away from the very real history of "here's some money, vote for me?"

It's way easier to do this kind of thing once elected.
Guys there really are huge legal issues with running a charity out of a campaign committee. Talk to actual experts about this. It’s not concern-trolling. Part of the problem is to do it right you have to be super super careful, and it’ll always put you in a bunch of gray areas.

We kind of need some type of cure for Alzheimer's to have any shot of the dementia crisis that is coming our way.
GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.

Bad sign when the only thing you have is the stick and that's not working anymore.
Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

6 point drop at 42% means that approximately 1 in 6 of his approvers in March no longer approve.
lol wut. dropping from 42 percent approval to 36 percent approval seems pretty significant. apnews.com/article/trum...

Dude genuinely might create a constitutional convention by having all of the Republican trifectas decide they're tired of this shit.
One of the most blatantly authoritarian threats in a Trump term full of them

Really funny to see SCOTUS's deadset attempt to dummymander.
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

Trying to keep my mouth shut on this, but I can promise you the reason Ossoff underperformed Clinton in 2017 was less because of turnout dynamics and more because of who was running the show on that campaign
This reminds me a bit of GA-06 in 2017. Got tons of hype and attention, Republicans held on then the next year a blue wave hit anyway. Having only a single race means everyone can concentrate on it, as opposed to a dispersed midterm
December 3, 2025 at 2:20 AM
Yes, it's truly awful that Dems juiced turnout and still get something like a D+17 swing.
Y’all talked too much about the TN-7 race, turned it high salience, juiced turnout, and wrecked Dems’ chances of sneaking in a win.
December 3, 2025 at 1:54 AM
We're definitely in a D+10 to D+15 environment.
It's very early, but the first live estimate is R +2.9, which would be almost a 20-point overperformance by the Democrat Behn.
