I agree, switching to painters tape
Scotch tape was also a mistake. It ruins all the wrapping paper it touches. The old timers used thin masking tape that could peel off without shredding the paper. With careful wrapping, it wasn't that noticeable.

Hard disagree, in this batshit scenario, I want to be as far away from the infected as possible. Taking a cushy first class pod seems like giving in
