With most psychedelic drugs, you never know what you're going to get. But this mysterious mushroom from China - without fail - causes users to hallucinate tiny people: crawling up walls, popping out from under furniture and marching under doors. www.bbc.com/future/artic...
'They saw them on their dishes when eating': The mushroom making people hallucinate dozens of tiny humans
Only recently described by science, the mysterious mushrooms are found in different parts of the world, but they give people the same exact visions.

@whstancil.bsky.social is there any record of where in the Twin Cities ICE raids have most frequently occurred?

It's difficult to imagine democracy persisting without dispossessing billionaires of our mass media.
We had endless articles and TV clips about Biden's mental capacity but silence about Trump's obvious unfitness when he says he's going to start a war with Denmark over Greenland because he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize.
Not the sort of letter committed to paper by a well man. "Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace"

I don't want the regime brownshirts to have better training; I want them in prison.
THREAD. Having just written a book about this and talked to a LOT of Democrats, I can assure you that neither Cory Booker nor the policing industry he’s advertising think that more money for ICE “training” and tech would address any problem that any person of good will has with what ICE is doing.

Sure. AI companies have ALWAYS been training their models on Wikipedia content, which under the free and open access model is available to anyone — including AI companies. Agreements like these require AI companies to limit and offset the strain they place on Wikimedia infrastructure.
Hoping that @molly.wiki can help explain.

Pascal's Rugging: only deathbed converts go to Hell.
in light of the news that Scott Adams apparently pulled a Pascal’s Wager on his deathbed, it’s worth noting that the approach does come with some risks even if the gods turn out to exist after all

A joke that I set up but can't take credit for:

What is it that you call service that brings forth its own demand again?

Let’s talk about abolishing ICE.

Very few people who say “abolish ICE” mean “abandon all immigration enforcement.” Rather, they mean “the structure of immigration enforcement is irretrievably broken and needs to be reorganized, just like we did 23 years ago when we created ICE.”

Microsoft's initial deployment of Recall is a profound betrayal of its responsibilities as an OS vendor, and its mitigations are far from sufficient. Both users and apps must always be able to opt out from such features.

lovely little logic loop here. the left have accurately described reality, but i still think they're wrong, so what if it was somehow in fact the left's describing of reality that perverted history to make them right. quantum politics. no fair, you changed the outcome by measuring it!
I was wondering how this might all turn out to have been my fault

Okay here’s an actual take: the fascist international is at war with the very concept of legitimacy.
Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

We're also occupying Venezuela via Zoom call.
