Already at Yale Law Vance was known, in the words of my daughter, who was in the class a year behind him, as an “ambition monster.”
i think vance is only interesting inasmuch as he extremely unprincipled and thus a good guide to where the GOP is going (gift link)

This is gross. But Lawrence Summers is gross.
The emails have Summers reporting to Epstein about his attempts to date a Harvard economics student & to hit on her during a seminar she was giving.

No matter what you think of MTG, this kind of thing is dangerous and totally unacceptable. MTG has already been victimized in multiple pornographic deepfakes. The confluence of sex and violence has been Trump's metier for most of his life.

The fascist takeover of higher education continues apace at Montclair State University.
Montclair State University has with no reasonable justification replaced all departments in the humanities and social sciences with four non-disciplinary units, seemingly randomly chosen by uni executive leadership with no regard for faculty input or governance. Terrible & portentous

On top of its considerable destructive cultural and socio-economic impacts, AI is destructively extractive of energy and water.
A new state-by-state evaluation of the projected energy and water use of "AI" data centers in the US. Looks… real bad. Like, "undoing tech sector climate gains" bad.

Strongly recommends immediately ensuring any & all new "AI" data centers to run on existing & expanded renewables grids. Which… yeah.

So here's the thing. Billionaires gonna billionaire. JB "Richie Rich" Pritzker epitomizes what is wrong with the Democratic Party, which is beholden to (and in Pritzker's case embodies) the same billionaire class that funds the Banana Republicans. JB may talk the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk.
Pritzker absolutely opposed to Johnson’s Chicago corporate “head tax”
Gov. J.B. Pritzker told the Chicago Economic Club Oct. 21 that he absolutely opposes Mayor Brandon Johnson’s plan to revive the corporate “head tax” as part of his new budget proposal.

His whole way of "governing" is on the model of rape and violent sexual abuse. He has groomed the Republican Party to be his enablers and codependents in abusing and assaulting Democrats, immigrants, and the American public. His method is to constantly push the limits of what he can get away with.

Americans told us they need lower health care costs.

So Republicans ripped away their health care, jacked up costs, and handed over giant tax cuts to billionaires.

It's shameful. But I’m not going to stop fighting.

Why are the Democrats so bad at messaging?

Every elected Democrat should refer to Trump as the Predator in Chief. Republicans should be characterized as Pedophile Protectors, and the GOP repeatedly called the Gang of Pedophiles or Gang of Predators.

Why is it so difficult for Dems to do this?
