I gotta say, successfully getting the mainspring into the barrel without it flying off is a nice little confidence booster. Especially since it did fly away on me once. Next up, how to get the barrel arbor back in the center...

Adventures in Watch Repair, today’s lesson: Once you start putting the mainspring back in the barrel, you can’t stop until it’s 100% done. Try to pause in the middle and parts will be launched into low earth orbit.
