Printer. Not a dinosaur. Living in beautiful NM as a blue dot in a red corner. Been on this earth for a half century. Saddened that the things that were top issues when I was a child are becoming top issues again.
We must remember
I've watched thousands of videos from the Jan. 6 riot as part of NPR's reporting and archive project on that day.

Here are some of the lesser known videos that have really stuck with me.

Actually pretty funny they have to share a podium AND ALSO Kushner is a lot taller than Witkoff.
Jared Kushner has somehow found a place at Coalition of the Willing press conference with Scholz, Zelensky, Macron, Starmer and Witkoff.

Kushner has no official position in the US government.

Re War Powers:

Congress should ask administration whether they knew in advance that the Venezuela operation would involve lethal force against dozens of Cuban military/interior ministry forces.⤵️

(A question concerning "war in the constitutional sense," as the Office of Legal Counsel might put it.)

Wind, solar, and electric vehicles made huge strides in 2025.

For the first time, wind and solar supplied more power than coal worldwide, while EVs accounted for more than a quarter of new car sales.
A Year of Clean Energy Breakthroughs
Even as the Trump administration rolled back support for renewable energy in the U.S., wind, solar, and electric vehicles made huge strides globally in 2025. For the first time, wind and solar supplied more power than coal worldwide, while plug-in vehicles accounted for more than a quarter of new car sales.

DHS reportedly fast-tracked a contract worth almost $1 billion to a company led by a donor to a pro-Trump nonprofit group where one of the officials overseeing the deal previously worked.

That raises serious ethics concerns.

Yeah, okay, make them do that then.

Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

He watched it from his house.

Not from the seat of government.

And experienced it as a TV show.

He is a non-president.
The WH released photos of Trump watching the operation live from a makeshift “war room” at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump went on Fox News this morning and said he watched it like “a television show,” praising the “speed” and “violence” as “an amazing thing.”

Yes, this is exactly the time to demand Democrats "do something."

They can denounce Trump's actions as unconstitutional. They can state that he must be impeached and removed. They can make clear that all involved will be held accountable.

These are the core duties of a role they all signed up for.

This is how it's done. If incumbent Democrats won't do the job, their primary challengers can and will use this to make sure someone else does
The Republican Congress has chosen to give away its authority and power and now we are being told Trump plans to occupy Venezuela. We don't cry for Maduro. We demand the following of our laws and Constitution. He is already threatening Mexico and Cuba will be next. Ann Wagner is silent.

The cynics think today's attack on Venezuela is staged and transactional. Maduro is allied with Putin, but in 2019 Putin offered Trump a swap: Russia cedes Venezuela and gets Ukraine. (See Fiona Hill's testimony in Trump's first impeachment trial, h/t @davetroy.com). Even Maduro may be in on it. 2/

Netanyahu moves forward with plans to annex all of Gaza. “Culture Minister Miki Zohar, of the ruling Likud party, says Gaza belongs to Israel, and that Palestinians in the territory are 'guests' whom Israel is merely allowing to live there for now” but may well expel.
