The idea that Europe and the UK can't risk falling out with Trump because USA provides our weapons is nonsense. We can build our own weapons, which would make us safer and boost our stagnant economies. Any competent politician would tell you so.

The blame doesn't fall entirely on the powerful and wealthy. There's a large group of consumers/voters who understand the damage they're doing but don't want their lifestyles inconvenienced, so they facilitate the status quo.

If people reall wanted Trump to stop trying to take Greenland they would boycott Facebook, Amazon, X and Tesla. This would get hos attention, via he tech. Bros. But people are too embroiled in using these things on a daily basis, and prioritise their convenience over another countries sovereignty.

It's 'will of the people' unless it upsets The Daily Mail, or Nigel Farage. Then it's hard back to a singular point in time 10 years ago, when grifters managed to con enough turkeys to vote for Christmas. Many of those turkeys have now died, and the younger turkeys don't seem so keen on Christmas.
