This was one of the situations raised for discussion in the firearms licensing course I was required to take here in Canada.
The reason I bring this up is THE UNITED STATES NEEDS A FIREARMS LICENSING PROGRAM REQUIRING AT LEAST *SOME* TRAINING AND TESTING I MEAN COME ON ALREADY STOP BEING SO STUPID!

Apparently there's an ongoing epidemic of people who go to a gun range to rent a gun and time at the range, to committ suicide. And sometimes kill others around them too.
I don't know how to feel about that. Sad of course, but bizarrely also relieved they do it there and not in high schools...
