Just to make it very clear where I stand—I am a huge fan of vaccination, it has saved literally millions of lives and is a force for great good in this world

I’m currently in a vaccine trial and volunteer with vaccine involvement work (ask me about involvement!)

It’s an evening dress worn by Empress Maria Feodorovna, 1880-83, currently in the State Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg.

I suspect that @rosewind.bsky.social would kill to own it.

Even in the USA (and I know Americans simply cannot conceive that >95% of people are NOT AMERICAN) the RATES over TIME of circumcision and autism don’t show the faintest correlation?

And, WHAT ABOUT GIRLS?

You can have autism without having a penis

It’s Friday, I’m in love and wearing cherries!
Cherries on the dress, necklace and earrings

Also—the dress has pockets
Rosewind in a classic 1950s tea dress style dress with sweetheart neckline —she is in the “it’s got pockets one-hand only” pose.
The dress is black with red and green poppy motif, picked up by her jewelry Rosewind’s hand with black nail polish and large chunky silver rings and three silver troll bead bracelets

Dolly Parton there with her:

Handwritten sign with “I ATE’NT DEAD”

Which I ended up making as all the versions of Granny Weatherwax’s famous sign online seem to be subtly wrong

Reminds me of this one star review of the wonderful Ancillary Mercy (by the author @annleckie.com )

Again—it’s like “fair description” BUT also: it’s the third book in the trilogy and how anyone read the first two books and left that as anything but five stars leaves me baffled…

not gonna lie, reading this made me laugh and also have maybe a little brain seizure *laughs*

a review of the Reeves/Winters production of Waiting for Godot:
A review of Keanu Reeves & Alex Winters production of WAITING FOR GODOT, clearly written by someone who has never read or seen it before (their name has been redacted bc god forbid they get piled on somewhere:)

Review of WAITING FOR GODOT on Broadway: One star

I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything I have ever experienced--and not in a good way.

What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonesensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried--truly tried--to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.

Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.

To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had--an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

The BBC's justification for platforming Farage beyond the actual significance of his small parliamentary party are his polls. A rather cynical explanation, for he wouldn't be where he is without the constant, uncritical appearances he's given on the BBC. It's a (literally) vicious circle.
