The gift is all complete.

It's time for the "How to do ALT text" image again.

Writing a perfect ALT text is impossible, but please try 💚!

Visually impairment is a wide spectrum and doesn't keep people from loving the visual arts.

Hi all
It's coming up for Christmas and I've run out of money so am putting out the begging bowl. Not least because I need to get the spousal unit a bottle of whiskey for supporting me through the aftermath of my accident.

The shawl is in a vintage style and would be great for cold commutes. I designed it to get what I wanted. It's year-old Romney so is lovely and soft. More robust than Merino so won't pill. You should be able to hand it down to your grandkids. Comes with some spare yarn in case repairs are needed.

I love this essay about ebiking and Long COVID 🚴😷

“I hadn’t mentioned the internalized ableism. But Stacy knew. “It’s not giving up,” she said, “It’s not cheating. It’s a new kind of freedom.””
I wrote about #LongCOVID stealing my lifelong favorite hobby of cycling, learning that e-bikes aren't "giving up" or "cheating," and how riding with assistance gave me back one of the greatest joys of my life. bit.ly/48ohIH5

Please reply to this post with all the other things I should know, at the age of 54.
Then I found out that every oven has a self-cleaning steam function. You just need to fill a tray with water and run it at 150°C for half an hour.

Now my question is WHY AM I JUST DISCOVERING THIS NOW? It seems like something they would teach you at school.

2000 years-old sapphire ring presumably belonged to Roman emperor Caligula, depicting his fourth wife Caesonia.

Hard to believe that ~150 years ago, New Zealand had no Black Swans. Today? They’re on every lake, bay, and sad little treatment pond by the highway. It’s thought they filled the niche left by the extinct New Zealand swan…and then just went wild. Nature always finds a way. 🌿
