It’s a lot harder to call something like this bait when it was or was part of the unironic ideology behind years of lobbying of industry, political movement, mass shift of media ownership and even arguably a factor in the very political destiny of the entire US hegemonic sphere

Also of note is that linking of artistic merit to sales performance. Fortunately there are no examples of artists and art considered vital classics later on which did poorly in appraisal or sales in their time and Andy Warhol is uncontroversially the greatest artist to ever live

These people endlessly complain about how woke/dei/etc kills art but also seem to think that if all art that is allowed to be produced caters exclusively to one specific set of beliefs and tastes that that’s fine and will have no undesired effects on art or culture at all

OpenAI may have found an infinite money glitch. AMD stock is up 25% after OpenAI pledged to spend billions it doesn’t yet have on AMD chips over five years plus OpenAI gets 10% of AMD if it follows through.

Altogether, OpenAI has now promised $1T in purchases in deals with AMD, Nvidia, and Oracle.
