This is another thing I’ve been telling people since the early 2000s, and so many of my friends are *just now* starting to get it
I'd push this timeframe up to about 35 years (culturally), and highlight The Real World (season 1 in 1992) as the start of the depravity we have now. It ushered in a generation of TV intent on watching people be terrible to one another as 'entertainment'. 😒
