IQ is completely fake, means nothing, and not based on science at all so of course the far right has adopted it as justification for insane beliefs, most recently anti-somalian rhetoric

When you think appealing to liberal electeds and influencer grifters is the work of socialists, this makes sense.

For those actually in Chicago DSA, organizing the working class remains the goal
Bread & Roses + other caucuses left Chicago DSA in a smoldering crater that Groundwork and SMC now have to rebuild from scratch. Don't take my word for it though, look at their 2023 endorsements all going down bad except Angela Clay. A real chapter would never put themselves in these bad situations

The other very big thing that both the Johnson admin and the broader movement blob really doesn't want to grapple with is that Brandon's base is downwardly mobile white/pink collar professionals in the Hate Has No Home Here Belt.

And that movement blob had some degree of differences/fissures that no one wanted to address and were really unprepared to handle when it came to the realities of governing (ie, CTU and 73 have competing differences when it comes to the school contracts).

As someone who is part of 2 orgs that endorsed Brandon and 1 org that didn't, my birds eye view is that the broader movement coalition wasn't prepared to win/govern and was afraid to really expand the tent beyond the more entrenched movement blob that already exists. 1/
The "at each other's throats" bit isn't on the admin though, is it?

… and the Dems decided to become the pro big-business, pro investor-class party and no one is left to be the party of the working class.

It's hard to explain to normies how much effort Trump is putting into anti-trans policies.

This is like the 12th thing just this week. And there were 12 things the week before, and 12 things the week before that. There will be 12 things next week.

This is almost everything the government is doing.

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

Well that’s the thing, I am a corn fed white guy from the Midwest with zero cultural attachment to the Middle East, don’t speak Arabic, am not Muslim, do not wear a keffiyah (and can’t pronounce it well), but because I’m not a racist a lot of the people who use that word would also apply it to me
Can someone genuinely explain to me what the people using "islamoleftism" mean? Because the way I'm seeing it used, it mostly just seems to connote "when the leftist is a muslim (scary)"
