I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

Our black-footed cat kittens receive microchips when they're a few months old. This is a handy way to help identify individuals without having to examine them to tell them apart from their siblings.
Two animal handlers hold a small kitten between them. They are wearing masks and gloves. A close up shot of a small black-footed cat kitten being held by a veterinarian. It is light brown with black stripes.

It’s just a little wave, it’s two words spoken out loud, why be stingy about it?

You are right and correct to do this. Just

Honestly the life of a television ER doctor in 1995 looks pretty relaxing compared to any modern show about any kind of work

I have yet to discover the latter two things, looking forward to it

Having finished THE PITT, we’re now watching the pilot eposide of ER for the first time in 30 years. This thing is photographed like a noir, what a weird choice for a hospital show

Lol the Nobels can't even acknowledge women's contribution to discovery. But sure let's acknowledge The Machines.
Headline from an article in Nature this week that states "Prizes must recognize machine contributions to discovery. The future of science will be written by humans and machines together. Awards should reflect that reality."

The basic structure of so much commentary, some in the guise of academic study, reduces to:

(1) generative AI products are detrimental to the goals of education

(2) therefore, the goals of education must change.

Without the tacit axiom that AI has authority behind it, that just doesn’t follow.

Imagine studying a technology whose presence in the classroom is so detrimental to the development of writing and research skills (including even the will to know the sources behind claims!) that mitigating its effects becomes a central goal of course design, and concluding with tips on adopting it.
