I think about this a lot.
For the first 30 years of my life, Rs absolutely owned "virtue" and were happy to shame the left (TBF, the left had a history of moral relativism).
"Woke" fundamentally changed that dynamic and they HATE it.
The concept of a secular moral framework is VERY threatening.
