If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

THREAD: Judge Ellis is the first federal judge to review extensive body cam video of DHS's actions in Chicago. She finds that DHS *repeatedly* misled the public and made claims that were disproven by agents' own videos.

I'll go through some of the most egregious ones here.

These people are deep into committing election fraud, so they assume everyone else is too

Elon Musk donated $277 million to Trump so he could steal the federal government’s data, dismantle the nation’s infrastructure, and stop foreign aid from going to nonwhite people. It’s a quid pro quo breathtaking in scope, corruption, and damage, & completely unprecedented in American history.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

The “gratitude” should be FODJT.
Donald Trump is out with another unhinged attack on Ukraine as he pressures President Zelensky to accept his “Peace plan,” which amounts to Ukrainian capitulation:

“Ukraine leadership has expressed zero gratitude for our efforts.”

Oddly enough, in media coverage of Dems' video warning against carrying out illegal orders, there's very little discussion of *whether it's actually reasonable to fear Trump is giving illegal commands or not.*

The evidence is strong that he is. Media should say so:

Let’s see if one single pundit who said there was some great realignment of American sentiment with this last election, based on what they saw on the Nazi-owned platform overrun by foreign actors, offers any retractions or corrections for their gullibility.

Someone one else pointed out this is the reason for the timing of MTG’s resignation. There’s a shock 🙄 , R politicians and operatives do tend to be selfish and all about themselves. Similar to DJT.

In time for Thanksgiving! Different kind of a horror movie we are living through now.
Good morning, Horror Fam.

We spoke on The Blob and its remake yesterday - how do we feel about Dawn of the Dead (1978) and its 2004 remake?

I'll be honest, I'm positive in both but I think the '78 is a classic. What's your favorite flavor of zombie movie?

a beautifully-done but distressing article here

it tells you about the future SCOTUS might plunge us under in just a mere few months, if not less — be sure to read it
If SCOTUS conservatives gut VRA protections from election discrimination, it won't just threaten POC seats in Congress. It is more often used to protect local elections — like in Fayette, TN, where officials used racist voting maps to ensure an all-white county board:

Black Residents in West Tennessee Just Won Fairer Districts. Now Comes SCOTUS. - Bolts
The Supreme Court may further erode the Voting Rights Act in an upcoming decision. Beyond affecting Congress, that would reverberate across local governments nationwide.
