Gosh, I gave them one click. Identity politics, great. Romance... Trek isn't known for making romance work. We'll see.

We have our moments down here. Now, at midnight, it's 19 degrees Celsius. But we're heading to a warm summer.

this is very very funny, but I think my favorite part is the implication that Keanu Reeves got suckered into saying yes to a bad play

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

Iggy Pop, best known as Yelgrun the Vorta, in the Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode "The Magnificent Ferengi".

Yeah, I've tried to buy it but it was too much.

Oh... What we need is a syndicated national comic (I don't know how I'd read it in Argentina...). And a time machine, of course.

There is a book with them, correct?

If you like crazy world-building, I suggest you pick up Yesterday's Son (in case you haven't read it). It's a continuation of All Our Yesterday.

Lorrah had a couple of good ones. Loved The Vulcan Academy Murders.

I read all the TNG novels that have that Season 1 and 2 vibe, with Ron Jones soundtracks playing in my head.

2. The Naked Time (TOS) — A sweaty palm spreads infection. Classic.

1. Encounter at Farpoint (TNG) — The space creatures join hands in light. #GreatJoyAndGratitude

Me gustaría que mi trabajo fuera viajar de aquí para allá por el mundo. Lo tiró acá, a esta hora, total nadie lee y somos cada vez menos.

Yeah. Neglected because of racism, IMO.

"Just circle around and pretend que be in awe of the pylons." Only time since The Visitor that Star Trek got me cryin'. I remembered being alone in my 15s just watching DS9 and being truly happy. Thanks for that, @mikemcmahan.bsky.social
